Managing R&D Portfolios

 

Course Description:

The seminar participants will help an R&D manager determine which project(s) to fund. A current R&D project is fairly far along in its development when a new technology is discovered that could make the current project obsolete. The R&D manager has to decide what to do. The class acts as his consultant as to the best approach. In helping the R&D manager, the participants will learn how to analyze and make a decision on R&D type problems. Come prepared to provided needed consultation to the R&D manager.

• Understand decision trees and do simple calculations
• Make a Quality Decision
